By submitting your idea using The Emerging Writers Scheme form, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

Eligibility requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age, have the right to work and be a resident of the UK or Ireland to enter this competition. Applicants from the Isle of Man are eligible.

Permission to use the Application: You grant Little Chick Productions LTD and its designees a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use your submission (the "Application") and all copyright and other intellectual property rights in and to your Application, for the purpose of considering whether to engage you to take part in the 2026 writers retreat. 

Content of the Application: You confirm that your Application is your own original idea and information and does not include any materials owned by any third party or infringe any third party rights. You also confirm that all elements of your Application comply with all applicable laws, and in particular are not obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, pornographic, libellous, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive and do not encourage any criminal activity.  

No obligation: You understand and agree that not all Applications will be successful. Little Chick Productions LTD is not obligated to accept you onto the writers retreat or to provide any further services.  Little Chick Productions LTD  also does not accept any obligation of confidentiality with respect to the Application.  You understand that Little Chick Productions LTD may have already and may in the future receive or independently develop materials similar to your Application.  You agree that Little Chick Productions LTD may use these similar materials and that you will have no recourse against Little Chick Productions LTD for any such use.  

Privacy and Data Protection: We may collect personal information from you in this form and in the course of reviewing your Submission in line with our privacy statement.

Release: By submitting the Application, you release Little Chick Productions LTD, its employees, and anyone acting on its behalf, of and from any claims of any kind, known or unknown, arising out of or relating to the Application.  You agree to waive, and will never make or bring, any claim, demand, or action against Little Chick Productions LTD in connection with the use or alleged use of the Application and that in no event will you be entitled to seek injunctive or equitable relief.
